@Whyliefortruth a video I'm not sure I can find but I will refer you to a few albums: Live at Blues Alley disc 1 Wynton doesn't play the head at the begginning or end. Live at the Village Vanguard disc 1 Wynton doesn't play the head at the begginning or end on disc 6 he plays it at the beginning but not the end. Standard Time Volume 1 Wynton doesn't play the head at the beginning or end. Like I said, this is a popular arrangement done by Clifford Brown and can be found on his memorial disc twice

Wynton is a brilliant trumpet player. He's a byproduct of endless practice, and training. His breathing techniques are unmatched and this is comming from the son of who many consider the greatest trumpet player ever to blow FREDDIE HUBBARD. Please give this amazing trumpet player his due. His playing is amazing.

@ewanmains Many people can't hear the changes and/or musical phrases he's playing because they have an untrained ear and are probably listening to jazz the first time. It's a little irritating because these people always assume that it's the player's fault, rather than accounting it to user error. It only takes a simple youtube search of "cherokee jazz" to hear the actual song and get a feel for the changes. The bridge is basically broken into minor 2nds (extremely easy to hear).

@trumpetking86 And yes, I will dismiss you. Your statements of ignorance are irritating to say the least. Reading your comment made me cringe when you even proposed that Wynton doesn't play the head often. Can you show me a video where he just delves into soloing and NEVER plays the head or bridge? Probably not. You're just rambling right now, and ignoring the basic aesthetics of combo jazz, which Wynton has remained faithful to since a young kid.

@trumpetking86 You seem quite uneducated and uncultured. This is obviously a cut version and he does play the head of Cherokee, which they do at the end of the video which makes you seem even more like a fucking idiot. "This was not a comment on this particular recording..." You came in the middle of an argument, and now I will shut you down. You represent the type of person who wants to come onto these videos and play White Knight to stupid, uneducated moronic individuals like yourself
