If by "Byrd", you mean Charlie Byrd, then maybe, I haven't heard much of him. I do know he's a Guitarist. but if you mean Charlie "bird" Parker (Note the I), then no, not really. His style is often emulated by probably every saxophonist ever, but rarely is it done well.
To the drummer. Too many crashes on 1. Be more ambiguous with where you're placing the beat. Crossing bar lines is a good thing. It starts to sound really square if you're playing on 1 all the time. Leave that to Rock drummers.
